Package Design: Food Packaging Raspberry Jam

For my Package Design course, I was tasked with creating a food packaging design. I chose to design a jar of raspberry jam that was cut away to showcase the jam inside. As a play on the seeds in the jam, I drew a porcupine character where the seeds are her quills. I gave her a persona as “Grandma Jan” and gaver her a bonnet and kind demeanor. I designed her bonnet to match some fabric that I used as the jar topper with a black bow.

This design was created in Adobe Illustrator with some hand sketched elements that were converted into vector designs. I designed the bar code to look like a raspberry and added a Nutrition Facts label to make the jam jar look even more authentic to what you would find in stores.
