Video Game Design: Smoothie Duck Dash

For my Game Design course, I worked with a team of four for a semester-long project of creating a video game in Unity. We created a 2D cooking game called Smoothie Duck Dash that consists of the player (smoothie duck) and the customers (frogs). All of the sprites used in the game as well as the game’s backdrops were created in Aesprite, a platform for pixel art.

There are three levels to the game each with a different amount of fruit trees. The objective is to click on the trees to grab the fruit and bring it back to the blender to create a smoothie. Each customer has an order ticket with three fruits that need to be blended in the order they were given. There is a timer counting down the time remaining to fill the quota (progress bar at the top). We coded the scripts for the game in C# and worked collaboratively to make it functional by the end of the project.
